Give Yourself a Little Grace

Some Simple Truths That Will Make Your Life Easier

As I’ve gotten hopefully a little wiser in life I’ve noticed something, life isn’t nearly as exhausting as we make it.

Most of our stress isn’t coming from what happens. It’s coming from how we respond to what happens.

So today, I’d like to offer you a few simple truths that have made my life a whole lot happier.

Being unbothered is a skill, not a personality trait. A skill.

It takes practice to stop reacting to every opinion, every piece of gossip, every rude driver, every social media comment, and every family member who has appointed themselves CEO of your life.

Ask yourself:

“Will this matter a year from now?”

If the answer is no…Smile. Bless them and move on.

Protecting your peace is one of the greatest acts of self-care you’ll ever master.

Silence is a response.

You do not owe everyone an explanation. Sometimes the strongest answer is…No answer.

Not every invitation deserves a yes.

Not every criticism deserves a defense.

Not every argument deserves your participation.

Silence often says, “I’m choosing peace over proving a point.”

No is a complete sentence.

This one took me years.

You don’t have to say:

“I’m so sorry…”

“I feel terrible…”

“Maybe another time…”

“No.”

Is your final say in the matter: No that date doesn’t work with my schedule.

No I am not available.

No that is not in our budget, plans etc.

That’s it.

The people who truly love you will respect your boundaries. The people who don’t… Were benefiting from the fact that you didn’t have any.

Time is more valuable than money.

You can earn more money, you cannot create another Tuesday.

Spend your hours like they’re your greatest investment… Because they are.

Choose conversations that matter.

Work that matters.

People who matter.

Everything else? It’s just noise.

Health IS wealth.

Without your health, everything becomes harder.

You don’t have to become an Olympic athlete but your body does deserve kindness.

Take the walk.

Eat the healthier meal.

Stretch.

Laugh more.

Sleep.

Your future self will thank you.

Experiences are worth more than things.

Very few people sit in a rocking chair saying, “I sure wish I’d bought more gadgets that suck up my time learning them. ”

But they do remember… The trip they almost didn’t take.

The sunset.

Your Best friend laughing at your insane jokes.

The spontaneous dinner with friends.

Collect memories, not just stuff.

Most “urgent” things can wait.

We’ve become addicted to urgency.

Every email.

Every text.

Every notification.

Everything feels like an emergency.

Most of it isn’t.

Before reacting, ask yourself, “Is this truly urgent…or just someone else’s anxiety?”

Who elected me to be the Queen or King of everything? It's not my Job to take on responsibilities that are not mine. There’s a difference.

Your true circle is probably smaller than you think.

Life has a funny way of revealing who is genuinely in your corner.

Not everyone who applauds you is cheering for you.

Not everyone who disappears was ever your friend.

The good news? You don’t need hundreds of people. You need a handful of authentic souls who celebrate your wins, tell you the truth, and stand beside you when life gets messy.

That’s wealth.

Give yourself a little grace. LIFE IS TOO SHORT to not just be nice to yourself!!

You don’t have to have every answer.

You don’t have to fix everyone.

You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Breathe.

Laugh a little more.

Love the people who love you.

Let the rest go.

Life gets remarkably lighter when you stop trying to control everything—and start enjoying the beautiful journey you’re already on.

Here’s to living with a little more wisdom…

…and a whole lot more grace.

If you're reading this and thinking...

"I know these things... I just haven't been living them."

You're not alone. Most people don't need more information. They need clarity.

They need someone who can help them quiet the noise, sort through what's truly important, and create a life that actually feels like their life again.

That's exactly what we do during my private VIP Vision Quest Day.

For one uninterrupted day, we'll step away from the distractions and focus entirely on you. Your next chapter, your biggest opportunities, the challenges keeping you stuck, and the practical action steps to move forward with confidence.

People often tell me it's like getting several years of coaching condensed into a single powerful day.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply know you're capable of so much more, perhaps it's time to stop trying to figure it all out alone.

Sometimes one day of complete clarity can change the direction of the next ten years.

If that speaks to you, I'd love to spend the day with you.

You can learn more about my private VIP Vision Quest Days—or explore one-on-one coaching if that's a better fit—on my website.

Life is simply too precious to stay stuck when clarity is only one decision away.
